First Game at Yankee Stadium....

Just visiting from vivaelbirdos, the SB Nation Cardinal blog.  I just moved to Connecticut, and am looking to get down to the Stadium this summer for a game.  I checked tickets on line and found that tickets are available in the $19 nosebleed section.  Before I buy them, I just wanted to make sure that I can move around and actually see the stadium if I have a ticket there.  Or am I locked into the upper deck with no movement at all.

Any tips or things I should know?

Thanks!

Only the bleachers
Are isolated from the rest of the Stadium. If you are in the upper deck you can move around anywhere you want.

Monument Parks closes 45 minutes before the game starts so get there really early if you want to see that.

Thanks Guys....
Sorry about the season, thus far.  The Cards have been having their struggles as well, so I kind of understand that.

also...
don't buy their water (should you want it)...bring your own in a clear container unless you want to pay about $3 more. Don't buy the food either; it's nothing special. Just eat before the game at your hotel with a sandwich or something. Food is too god damn expensive

I have season tickets, they
don't stop you going in with the water.

Go early
Traffic and parking are a bear with the construction.  If you cut it close at all you'll miss the first pitch.

I agree with the suggestion of getting there when the gates open and going straight to monument park.  So, enter the stadium near it's North east corner.

After seeing monument park walk around the stadium in the aisle of the lower deck, out in the seats.  Early on you can walk around and get the feel of the place.

I hit the restroom on the way in.  My Tier reserved seats are hard enough to get in and out of that I try to sit from first pitch to last.
