Boss Declares Silence

(MAY 20): As the Yankees try to avoid being swept by the Mets in the Subway Series, 1050's Andrew Marchand reports George Steinbrenner is declining comment on the state of the Yankees and Joe Torre's job status. A person close to the Boss told Marchand that he doesn't expect Steinbrenner to say anything (if he says anything at all) until the conclusion of the Red Sox series on Wednesday.

Oh Oh
Looks like the Boss is running out of patience for St. Joe. Stay tuned.

i just dont think
getting rid of torre solves anything right now. If they were going to fire him they shouldv done it when pinella was available. Im not sure mattingly is ready, especially ready to be thrown into a mess.

Actually
This news is fresh because depending on the outcomer of Boston series Joe's job maybe somewhat at risk. Although, I doubt it since everybody is in love with St. Joe. He is a saint he does no wrong. God Bless Him!

If news is reported on Sunday
and your regurgitate it on Tuesday, it's old news.  We all have internet access, newspapers, tvs etc.  Please spare us your "reporting."
