Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

What will Joe Do

From LoHud Cash- "He loves Kyle Farnsworth and can't imagine trading him. Cashman claimed, "a lot of clubs are calling for him." Farnsworth, he said, would be the set-up man."

Really, I mean really  I hope he is just trying to save face. Do you think Joe G. will something else to say about it. I think he is going to be the kind of guy that lets the best people play where the deserve to play.  Furthor more do you guys think that he will restructure the batting order.

JD,Jeter,Abreu,A-Rod,Cano,Jorge,Matsui,Shelly,Giambi  is how I would fill it out.  Maybe Giambi,Shelly

Wow thats a slow bottom half/But tons of power   (this is under the assumption we trade melky and don't really replace him, I would expect some speed out of his replacement)

Maybe
Girardi thinks they can work with him.  Farnsworth has/had stuff.  Maybe Girardi thinks that maybe with the right coaching/training/manager Farnsworth can work.  It's not that crazy.

Didn't he catch The Farnz
when he was a Cub?

Catcher-pitcher relationship
I think Farnsworth is an interesting case, and I'm excited to see if Girardi can unlock his fully potential. I actually think he can. He got alot from the young arms in FL, and did much the same in NY, prior to Posada.

If he can unleash the beast, and Farnsworth can be counted on, we've got a major boost in the pen.

Cashman's
going to trade him.

Apparently teams are calling about the Farns and Melky.

Trading Farnsy and Melky
for a quality set-up man would be a good move.  Who'd be available?

from the Braves..

That'd be a good deal
Farns + Melky + Cash for Soriano and one of their OF prospects (not Schafer obviously).

I'd make that deal
in half a heartbeat.
