Clemens Denies Claims in Mitchell Report

For what it's worth...

After being implicated of steroids use in the report former Senator George Mitchell released this afternoon, Roger Clemens has enlisted the services of powerful Houston attorney Rusty Hardin to defend him from the accusations.

"Roger Clemens vehemently denies allegations in the Mitchell report that he used performance-enhancing steroids, and is outraged that his name is included in the report based on the uncorroborated allegations of a troubled man threatened with federal criminal prosecution. Roger has been repeatedly tested for these substances and he has never tested positive. There has never been one shred of tangible evidence that he ever used these substances and yet he is being slandered today," Hardin said in a release sent to the media.

Did anybody think he'd admit it?
Who else besides Giambi and Canseco admitted to it?

As a Red Sox fan
can we get back to obsessing about whether Phil Hughes will be better than Santana in two years?

Let's Move on!
You know what who cares you might as well put the past All Star Teams for the the past twenty years on the list.  Baseball did it to themselves and the fans enjoyed it.  Baseball never really had a drug testing policy for so many years.  As fans we loved seeing all the homeruns and all the strikeouts.  Give it a rest already what done is done.  I mean do you not think some of the guys who are in the hall of fame from 60 years ago didnt use drugs/roids to extend their careers.  Intstead of everyone crying about who did what why dont we do something and make a real drug testing policy.  As far as I am concern if they never tested positive for the stuff then they didnt do it.  I mean first of all this guy was on a witch hunt.  Test the players on the list now if they test positive then punish them.  If they dont then PLAY BALL!
