A Rod

theres something about the whole situation that i just cant digest.  I feel like theres a 95% chance he will be in pinstripes next year, he know the yankees were bluffing and he called them out on it, cashman is just gonna fold and give A rod everything he wants.  we all have our different opinion on arod but we all can agree he is a monster, and theres nothing better we can do with the money we save.  There is no better third baseman out there, and he can easily switch with jeter when jeter breaks down.  Not to mention all the lost revenue on jerseys, shirts, and all other A rod memoribilia, and how about all of the stuff already out there on store shelves, do they throw it out and take a loss.  My point is ARod will still be a Yankee next year, no if and or buts

Interesting thought
What sort of signing bonus do you require?

I am only 30
So my agent Mr. Boras thinks I should get an 18-year extension. I faxed Cashman and said that as soon as he is ready to pony up $400M or so, we can start talking.

Are you
willing to move to the outfield once you hit 40? Could be a deal breaker.

You do
realize that all Arod merchanise sold is split with a MLB teams.  It the Sox sell a Dice K jersey, Yanks get 1/30th of that profit.

Only online or at independent outlets
If a team sells the merchandise at the stadium, the team gets most if not all of that profit.

I'm almost
positive that if it has the mlb logo on it, it is split with every team.

I think it's a middle ground
50% for parent club at the Stadium, 1/30th elsewhere.

NY Times reports that
Cashman said, the time to re-sign Rodriguez has come and gone, and no one around the Yankees -- including Derek Jeter -- believes he will return.

I believe that
I don't know how many more times they can say that without looking perfectly stupid (and subject to future hostage-taking by Boras-like agents) if they do sign him.

Arod only comes back if
No one will sign him, and he has to come back for what we offered before he opted out minus the Texas money.

In other words, no chance.

I think we will offer arbitration.  If the market seems bad enough maybe he'll take it!

Seriously, if Arod plays in NYC next year, He'll be a Met.

Let's hit the gym and get ready for spring.
