Matsui's Return!!!

BALTIMORE -- Hideki Matsui will rejoin the Yankees on Sunday and could be back in New York's lineup on Monday night.
Matsui played his fourth and final game for Double-A Trenton on Saturday, as the Thunder fell to Portland, losing the first-round playoff series three games to one. With Jason Giambi out until Tuesday after getting a second cortisone shot in his injured left wrist, Matsui could find himself starting Monday as the Yankees' designated hitter.

Hideki Matsui won't join the Yankees until Tuesday, when the team returns to the Bronx to kick off a seven-game homestand. Torre said Saturday that Matsui would join the club Sunday and be ready to play Monday, but after speaking with general manager Brian Cashman, it was decided that Matsui would remain in New York.

Excellent

Matsui seems like an awesome guy and teammate. He's worked his ass off since the day of the injury to get back with the team. I hope him the absolute best. Not simply because I am a Yankee fan, but because Matsui seems like the type of guy you want to succeed in life.
