Bobby Murcer goes under the knife

PrintFamed Yankee player and broadcaster Bobby Murcer will undergo surgery today to remove a brain tumor discovered revealed in an MRI taken Sunday.
"I'm feeling OK and we're just going to have to see what this surgery will bring," Murcer said by phone, the newspaper reported. "I'm hopeful that everything will turn out OK and I'm thankful to have so many friends who are rooting for me."
Our prayers go out to him and his family. We hope for a speedy recovery.

One of my all-time favs
Growing up in the early 70s, the Yankees pretty much sucked. If it weren't for Bobby Murcer, Thurman Munson and Roy White I might have become a freakin' Mets fan. Get well soon, Bobby!
