..is the worst play by play announcer I've ever heard. I'm starting to like the NFL Network, but I can't listen to him. He has no clue on calling a play and the quality of his voice is just not suited for the job. I can listen to Chris Collingworth, but please make Gumbel disappear next season...

Dont buy in!

Another of the "corporatization" of sports - dont buy in and support it.

Soon - NOTHING - will be free to the individual consumer. Quite the contrary. These "pipelines" of cash to sports organizations / teams does nothing to reduce the price to the fan. As revenues go up - salaries go up - BILLION DOLLAR stadium get constructed - ticket prices, advertising fees, subscription fees - go up - not down.

Read it in the newspaper or online.
Go play ball with the kids.

(OK - so its a stupid notion that any of the above will ever come to pass - but doesnt discount the logic of it - nor the fact that we should be playing the sports we pay way too much to view)
