Indians hold on for a 6-5 Win
Leiter's control problems put us in a 6-1 hole ( five walks in two innings ) and we couldn't dig out. Al has got to throw the ball over the plate or else he is useless. His stuff is still good enough to win with, but he's falling back to the same habits that got him released by Florida.
I understand that he's an emergency pickup, but please Al stop nibbling. If they hit you...fine. Scott Proctor finally showed some life signs as he kept us in the game, but we cannot keep having to score seven runs a game to win.
The Yanks lose another game to Boston and the A's in the standings and unless we get some consistent starting pitching we are not going to slug ourselves into the playoffs. Do I sound redundant much?

Pathetic
But mostly, if we're gonna stage dramatic comebacks in the late innings, we've got to manufacture our own runs, not just wait for the other team to make mistakes.
