Too early to judge Palmero

OK read this carefully.
http://www.mqablog.com/

I agree with President Bush.  Yep, you might not see that from me again but when it comes to Rafael Palmero I am going to give them both the benefit of the doubt. President Bush says he doesn't think Palmero took steroids and I don't think so either.  Really! First, drug tests are often unreliable.  I am guessing that he probably insisted on multiple follow ups but it is still possible that...  Viagra caused it!.  Palmero has done ads for the product so he obviously uses it - perhaps that (or other aids he has tried) threw the test off. Or maybe... he could have innocently taken some over the counter drug or supplement which contained a trace of something that is prohibited. Like eating a poppy seed bagel and coming up positive for opium.  I just don't think Palmero would have lied so blatantly to Congress. I have been watching a lot of sports and EVERYONE is condemning the man.  I'm sticking with Bush on this one..innocent until proven guilty.  Don't let me down W!! or RP

I hope you're kidding
The steroid he tested positive for is a very powerful substence that you don't injest accidently, his sample was tested 3 times I believe, and Jose Canseco has said he injected with Palmeiro more than a few times.

Smoke, in this case=Fire

Um
You obviously don't keep up with the issue.

Viagra caused it?  Are you just making this stuff up?

Not kidding
This guy would lie before Congress when he could have taken the 5th? He may be guilty.  But I have not been convinced of it at this point.

He couldn't take the fifth
He was not the focus of a criminal investigation, this was an informational hearing only.

Its hard to believe...
That a guy on the cusp of obtaining his 3,000th hit, and entering the exclusive 3K Hits/500 HR Club would be so...foolish to lie to congress.

But it appears that he did. Blind faith is in abundance with many fans. Think critically. As previously stated, the substance detected is not found in supplements, but is taken by injection!

Guilty! Its now time for the dance of semantics to begin: "I didn't take steroids knowlingly." Excuses....Accept the resposnibility of your actions Palmiero.

The game is so tainted now. Records are in question as a result of Canseco introducing steroids to the players back in the late 80's.

What happened to morality? It went out the window long ago! Truth...when spoken flows easily from ones lips. Lies...cause the eyes to narrow, and the words to be carefully uttered. I hear lies....

important point
made by Mike Francessa yesterday - the steroid that Raffi took is NOT a one-time only dose.  If you take it once - it does nothing.

It is a CYCLED drug - you have to take it at strict intervals.

This blows the silly "unknowingly" excuse right out of the water.

Raffi truly is that stupid - he never thought he would get caught.

Rose should be in Hall
with a line on his plaque reading "Banned for life."  Ditto Joe Jackson.  Just cause they put his face in brass doesn't mean they have to let him give a speech.  He can still be banned from ballparks while being recognized as a great hitter.
Have faith in the Yankees my son. Think of the great DiMaggio.

This is a rumor,
I repeat rumor,a local radio station out hear in Miami (790am) reported yesterday that Rodger Clemens and Johny Damon tested positive for steriod use. As much as I don't want this to be true, I can't say that it would surprise me.
