Rumor: Colorado's Shawn Chacon going to the Yanks

That's what ESPN the Insider is reporting. They seem to think it's a hot rumor. I don't know much about Chacon except pitching in Colorado is a nightmare. We can use another arm at this point, so I say go for it.

At this point, beggars can't be choosers...

Maybe getting out of Colorado and switching leagues will improve his numbers a bit. We don't expect a stopper, but someone who can at least get out of the second inning without the game getting out of hand. That may be asking alot though since even Moose can't promise that. I say go for it too. It's not my money--and the imminent return of Pavano and KB does not guarantee that they won't still pitch as lousy as they did before they got hurt.

Chacon's stats

actually his stats this year are pretty good for Colorado -- heck, his ERA is 4.30 which compares well with most the Yankee starters. and away from Coors field, his ERA is 3.11. but he also missed most of June with a hamstring injury -- too soon to tell if he's really over that.
